Do I need special tools to follow these guides?
Most tutorials assume basic tools: a switch puller, keycap puller, small screwdriver set, and a clean workspace. For lubing, you’ll also want a fine brush and a switch opener (optional but helpful).
Will lubing always make switches better?
Not always. Lubing can improve smoothness and reduce spring noise, but it can also mute tactility or change sound more than you want. We’ll call out when to lube, when to skip, and how to test before committing.
How do I avoid stabilizer ticking?
